  • □ The Admissions Headquarters of Hanbat National University announced that it will run the 'Be Together(Hey Yo) Extracurricular Support' program for local high school club students until July as part of the 2026 high school-university linkage program.○ The program is designed to resolve academic curiosity felt by students during high school club activities and to support more in-depth exploration activities.○ It features mentoring by professors so that high school students can go beyond classroom activities and directly experience research and major fields actually taking place at the university.○ In particular, based on club exploration topics set by students themselves, university professors discuss research directions tailored to the level of high school students and provide support for experiments and practical training if necessary.○ During this first semester, professor mentoring is provided two to four times per club, offering students opportunities to flesh out and deepen their research through feedback from professors.○ Currently, 200 students from 11 high school clubs in the Daejeon area are participating in the program with professors from nine departments. As more high schools wish to participate than originally planned, the university plans to expand the program in the second semester.○ High school students who participated in the program said that coming to the university to listen to the professor's explanation and even conduct experiments made it much easier to understand and fun, and it provided an opportunity to think more deeply about their related majors.□ Lee Sung-ho, Dean of Admissions at Hanbat National University, said that he expects this program to help local high school students shape their career paths by directly experiencing university education and research. He added that the university will continue to expand various programs where high schools and universities can grow together.
