The Department of English Language and Literature at Hanbat National University helps students cultivate their English language proficiency to meet the demand in today’s globalization era. We offer a curriculum with a balance of practical courses and advanced courses to equip students with practical problem-solving skills and broad knowledge of related disciplines. We are fully equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms and audio-visual teaching equipment to provide immersive language education. After graduation, students can work in a wide range of fields, including academia and research institutions, corporations (managerial positions), journalism, finance, trade, literary organizations, and cultural institutions.
Our objective is to help students develop English reading comprehension skills with an understanding of the sentence structures in English, acquire extensive English vocabulary through texts on various topics, improve listening skills by listening to conversations, and practicing speaking in various contexts, thereby honing the full range of English language skills in order to be able to keep up with the trends in the globalization era.
You can go on to graduate school, study abroad in an English-speaking country, earn professional certifications, work as an interpreter and translator, or pursue a career in the private sector or at government/public offices by passing the necessary public or civil service exam.
