Objectives

The Department of Computer Engineering aims to foster innovative talents with the relevant expertise, who are capable of taking multidisciplinary approaches with an open mindset and communication skills. The department also strives to instill good ethics and a sense of social responsibility based on the vision of “fostering computer engineers who will lead innovations in IT.” By doing so, students will be transformed into excellent human resources required by society in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Goals

• Cultivate innovative talents with expertise in computer engineering: Through systematic education, students are able to consolidate their basic knowledge and develop various practical skills to design and develop appropriate systems to solve given engineering problems, and gain practical skills to lead technological advancements.
• Cultivate talents capable of taking multidisciplinary approaches with an open mindset and communication skills: Students are able to cultivate an open mindset through individual assignments on various topics, develop communication skills to collaborate with experts in the same or different fields of study through group assignments, and develop the ability to solve problems by collaborating with other fields.
• Cultivate ethical talents who fulfill their social responsibility: Students are able to cultivate a sense of ethics and responsibility as members of society, get involved to address national and community issues, and take action to strive for the good of the public.
