of the Department of Convergence Technology
We will build a system to train professionals with advanced technical skills.
Under the vision of “a world-class university for industry-university education,” Hanbat National University contributes to the development of the local economy in partnership with companies that operate knowledge-based businesses with advanced production technologies.
The Dual Joint Training Center, selected in May 2015, currently has agreements with about 130 companies in the Daejeon and Chungcheong region, and around 110 student workers are participating in the work-study program.
In particular, a contract department (Department of Convergence Technology), which was newly opened in 2016, provides an opportunity for workers from the partner companies to receive a bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Engineering) from Hanbat National University with full government support.
We will continue to strive toward the creative economy at a faster pace by fostering human resources with both technical skills and management capabilities so that they can apply interdisciplinary approaches in the era of convergence. To this end, we will assist workers from companies upgrade their job skills, secure educators from companies, and establish a successful work-study system.

Objectives
- Provide work-study opportunities to workers from local SMEs so that they can acquire practical knowledge and experience and improve their skills through lectures and projects in line with the pursuit of a merit-based society
- Foster engineers and technology managers with competencies to contribute to the survival and prosperity of their SMEs, and contribute to the development of the country and society by providing them with convergence technology education based on engineering technology required in industrial field

Learning Content
- Mechanical Technology(Product Design, Mechanical Design Planning, Structural Analysis Design, CAM, Machinery Software, Machinery Hardware, Mechanical Process Control, Welding, Nondestructive Testing) : Create products with unique forms and emotional and functional value; ensure machine performance, stability, reliability, etc.; and optimize, standardize, and maintain processes through planning, analysis, improvement, and history management of production processes
- Electrical and Electronic Technology(Home Appliance Hardware Development and Electronic Application Hardware Development) : A series of processes including planning the development of household products, circuit design, verification of finished products, and transfer to mass production; reviewing the product plan to develop excellent products, manufacturing development samples/design verification samples after circuit design, and ensuring mass production; completion of the development process
- Software Technology(Software Architecture, Applied Software Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, Industrial Electronics Software Development) : Manage the design, implementation, verification, and differentiation of software components, improve product performance through version control, and develop and optimize embedded software
- Production Management Technology(Office Administration, Safety Control, and Process, Quality, and Customer Management) : Plan and follow procedures for document creation and control, data management, etc. and manage quality planning, control, assurance, and improvement activities
- Understanding of Fundamentals of Engineering (Basic Engineering and Liberal Arts) : Understand the basic calculations and statistics required in the workplace, and understand the principles and procedures of the necessary technologies to apply the technologies to various situations.
