The Department of Mobile Convergence Engineering was incepted in 2022 to provide students with project experience, knowledge in Internet of Things (IoT), and the ability to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools in response to the rapid growth of the mobile application market represented by mobile communications and the IoT, and the need for professionals with related expertise in the industry.
The lower-level curricula of the Department of Mobile Convergence Engineering are aimed at providing students with a solid foundation in the field of hardware. Programs consist of theoretical and hands-on courses in signal processing, circuit analysis, Linux, digital engineering, and engineering mathematics. For upper-level students, the department offers semiconductor and operating systems, as well as various IoT software and web programming classes to cultivate the ability to apply software suitable for the characteristics and purposes of mobile devices. Further, there are advanced majors such as database, data analysis, and machine learning, where students learn how to plan optimal mobile services using big data and AI.
Our faculty members with rich practical experience will strive to produce practitioners who can plan and lead mobile application projects through a classroom methodology that combines theory and practice. We will continue to respond quickly to the manpower needs of corporations and technological changes in the world to continuously reorganize our curricula and develop into an excellent department that fosters future talents.
