NEO-LOGI is an academic club for industrial and management engineering students to study all disciplines related to logistics (transportation, storage, unloading, packaging, information, etc.) in a more systematic way to develop the ability to look at the role of logistics from the perspectives of the national economy, socioeconomics, and individual enterprises depending on its impact. It is where you can feel the essence of the slogan, “Globalization in the 21st century begins and ends with logistics.”
Students study and apply the overall knowledge of logistics and the system theory of industrial engineering to build an efficient logistics system to prepare for globalization.
The term “logistics” has come into the spotlight with mass production, mass sales, and mass consumption becoming the trend of the times, resulting in a greater need to streamline the flow of goods. In addition to the commercial distribution activities relating to transactions, the physical distribution activities to accurately and quickly deliver products to the hands of consumers have emerged as an important part of business activities. In order to rationalize the logistics and distribution processes, distribution centers are being built around large cities with a delivery center, truck terminal, and warehouse complex integrated into one; the unit load system is being introduced to make transportation consistent by using containers or pallets; and joint transportation by shippers is being pursued to make transportation more efficient.
