Under the slogan that improving the quality of human life is of the utmost importance in an aging society, the club cultivates creativity by studying optimal human-machine system design technology and emotional engineering technology.
Industrial and management engineering has endeavored to solve problems with a management mindset through scientific and engineering approaches to all areas of society. The scientific and engineering techniques studied in the department are applied not only to production and manufacturing sites, but also to marketing, finance, and human resources. The resulting improvements in the quality of goods and services and productivity as well as scientific management activities have helped companies hone their competitiveness. Moreover, in recent years, the applications of social engineering have extended to communication systems and information technology, as well as social welfare, culture, and the arts. As a participant in the national project to strengthen the innovation capabilities of local universities called the Nuri Project, it has become necessary for the department to explore in-depth human and welfare engineering learning to improve the quality of life of the elderly in the 21st century. Therefore, the IP&V Research Society was established to apply scientific and engineering approaches to humans to make a broader leap in industrial and management engineering.
